Identity - Eridge and Frant Church

Client brief: Create a logo for St. Alban's Church Frant and Holy Trinity Church Eridge

I was approached by St. Alban's Frant (or St. Alban's Church Frant) and Holy Trinity Eridge (or Holy Trinity Church Eridge)

I set out to create a durable, welcoming identity for the two churches - they operate under one Vicar - and so needed to be linked in some way. My initial feeling was to stray away from the obvious and look at the buildings and the identity they held.

Using the outline of the shape of the churches, I added a dynamic element - rays of light - which I feel display the spiritual visual required. The two colours reflect the churches 'personalities'. Eridge near the rocks, with the iron ore creating a red orange colour and the height of Frant, rising from the hill side into a blue sky.
