With robust skills across contemporary and traditional design. I also have strong experience in art direction and picture research, from simple prouct shoots in studios, to multi-day oversea trips. I also have a particular passion for illustration, custom typography and letter-cutting. I blend all these influences into my work, offering a very diverse backgound of experience.
Following a BA Hons in Graphic Art & Design, I built up a solid track record in design by working for IPC Media, Hotcourses and Panini UK, where I produced high-quality design work for titles including Doctor Who Magazine, bliss and mizz. In 2008, I set up my own graphic design studio in a converted pig sty in Groombridge, near Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I really enjoy the variety of my work and the fresh challenges it produces.
My work is influenced by visual culture, print media and online media, but much of my design inspiration comes from the outdoors – from the sights and sounds I experience when I’m out on my bike.
My keen interest in the environment doesn’t stop at the great outdoors: I’m firmly committed to using ethical sources of paper for my work and to using my bike or public transport to get to meetings.
I'm an avid cyclist, in all forms, mountain-biking remaining my favourite, and looking after the vegetable patch.
